Question for Mike Brown!

Mike,
I have an old mid 70's Session 400. I need a new "basket" for the original Black Widow 1501 speaker (I no longer have the old "blown" basket). Will the newer shallow basket work with my old style magnet or is the "old style" basket still available? I am trying to retain the originality as much as possible, so that's why I'm not interested in just replacing the whole speaker assembly with a newer one, if I can help it. Besides that Black Widow "spider web" was just too "cool!" on those older style speakers!

Thanks for the kind words, Tim! Playing the Opry at the Ryman is an experience you don't soon forget.
I've been with Jean for about 7 years now and she is always good about introducing us when we play! BTW,her favorite steel player is Ralph Mooney!

Hello Dave,
The original baskets for those first "flat" Spider magnet BW's are not available. However, I believe that you will be well satisfied with the voicing of our present 1501-4 BW "SB" speakers. The "SB" means shallow basket.

No, the older Spider magnets will not fit the latest replacement baskets. However, if you will call me toll free here at the factory, I think that we can work something out for you. My number is 1-877-732-8391.
