Sho - Bud Vol. Control Wiring Help Needed

This can't be hard, but I have yet to come up with a wiring plan the doesn't start producing extrainious noise in my amp after about 20 minutes of playing. One 500k pot, two jacks. Can someone walk me through this ? If you can, could you bring it down to my level : " Holding pot with shaft pointing down, connect wire to middle prong on pot " - etc. Many thanks.

If you're getting noise after 20 minutes, it sounds to me like the problem is in your amp or effects, not the pedal.
