Are baskets interchangable on Black Widow speakers?
In other words can one replace a 1504 basket with a 1501 basket?
Thanks
Rick

Hello Rick,
Yes, all of the BW magnet structures are identical, therefore the baskets will interchange no matter if it is a 12", 15" or 18" BW. The same theory applies for our Scorpion and Scorpion Plus series of speakers.

The question that I get most often is, "what is the basket assembly?". Well, the basket is everything except the magnet structure. It includes the frame, cone, spider, speaker terminals and the voice coil. This allows you to swap out a replacement basked within about 5 minutes, which saves you money as you don't have to purchase the complete speaker.

For more info about our transducers, call me toll free at 1-8770732-8391.

Thanks.

Thanks Mike
This is good to know as I will be replacing a 1504 basket with a 1501
And you are right about the ease of changing baskets, Thats what I love about the Peavey Scorpion & Black Widow speakers.
Thanks again.
Rick
