This is kind of left field but getting desperate here.
Problem: TV cable feeds from street to house. then to splitter. One side of splitter to front half of house, other side to back half of house (my half). They (front) receive CH 44 (Opry) just fine. I receive channels lower and higher (even 43 and 45) but no 44! The VCR/TV receiver works fine. Took it elsewhere and tuned into 44 no problem. It's just not feeding in from the splitter to MY tv. But why the other channels??? I DO have longer distance, maybe 75 ft. Do I need a signal amplifier? FM interferance? Is this some kind of conspiracy??? I gotta tune in to the Opry man and hear Tommy White. Gotta clue on this cable phenomena? thanks men SW |

In the back of the house, do you have a TV and a separate VCR? Can you tune (change channels) on both TV and VCR? Do you have the same problem on channel 44 with both the TV tuner and the VCR tuner?
Are you sure your tuner is set to "Cable" and not "Antenna"? |

You may have a bad cable connector, with an open shield...or a defective connection in the splitter.
An open shield will not cause complete loss of signal. It will form a notch filter and will punch out certain channels.
Have seen this happen before with cable and master antenna systems.
Just double check all the wires and connectors.
