Anybody ever try one of the subject units
for steel?
I am trying one for recording and having trouble getting settings established.

Hi Roy:
I tried using a Boss GE-7 with several combo amps and found it to be sensitive. I used a parametric EQ for awhile with and found it easier to use as it let you adjust the tone of the frequencies and have more control over the boost without didtorting the input of the amp. I think the GE-7 is better suited for six guitar as the steel has more of a dynamic range. Just my opinion!

I have one that I use for everything. But I use it to make a overall adjustment, as apossed to very specific freq's.

My rack systems have 15 band EQ's. Much better for tweeking the freq's. In my studio we only use 31 band eq's or Parametric.
