Boss BR-8 Digital Recorder

Anyone try this new unit? It sells for about $650 and records 8 tracks digital (2 at a time). Has on board effects. The only downside I see is that you record to 100 meg Zip disks. How much music can you record with that much space? This unit is supposed to be plug-and-play. Roland claims that you will be recording within minutes, without the manual, no signal routing to learn etc. etc.
