MY Batteries were down one almost dead and my rack system W/ stereo steel steel seemed to sound pretty good but wasnt real extra clean. Put new Batteries it's real clean and now it seems like i have to completely re- adjust amp settings. But i thought with the batteries dead it would be aweful. What have you experienced when yours go dead. Do most people seem to like these. Mine is the newer Model 7A. Thanks.

Gary, Some guitars seem to sound better without the match box. you might try that. I did and I don't use one any more. I think my pickup is wound to 17500 on the e-9th neck and it surely sounds better without any help. Buck

My MatchBro has two 9V batteries also, but I prefer to use the power supply instead of the batteries. I did at first before I bought the supply and not being certain of the battery life, would check them with my tester once a month. I never had them get low so I couldn't tell if there was a differance or not.
