It works just like I had hoped it would. I have sent Ingo a picture I took of it to post here when he gets a chance.
set up: steel-vol box-instrument splitter-MatchBro-DD2-Goodrich L120-amp.
No tone loss that I could tell. I will shorten all the cords so it's not so sloppy looking, but wanted to get this done right away.
Keith, I think you've got a good marketable product here. I would like a larger knob on it, I think I have one around here somewhere. That is about the only thing I can think of except I will swivle the box 90° to have it paralell with the leg.
It's small so it doesn't take up much space in the gig bag. No batteries to go dead, and it looks good!!!!!!
Keith, my check will go out to you today on my way to work. My thanks to all of you for your input and knowlege you've shared so freely. I'm looking forward to meeting as many as possible at the St. Louis ISGC this coming fall. (I am going to predict Johnny Farina will be inducted)

Bro George
I really like that orange gizmo on the stand in the bottom right corner of the picture. Let me know if you ever need to get rid of it.
Lee, from South Texas
BTW - I've got one just like it!

Thanks for posting that for me Ingo. I still don't know how to post those.
Keith, I really am enjoying that gizmo. Now that you have sort of re-invented it, you've got to put a fancy handle on it. It's great not to have to get up to go change the volume any more.
I hate to break your heart Bro Lee, but that is a RI. It is exactly like my original 6120 but actually better. The price wasn't as painful as I thought it would be when I found a dealer in Savage, MN. I love it!!!

Looks good, Keith. There probably is a market for an external volume control. Sometimes we forget about the basic things.
As far as the guitar in the picture. I used to have a 61 PX6120. Bought it new in 61 and got crazy and sold it in 85. Needed the money at the time. |

George;
Where is the indicator for level flight?
I'm getting one from Keith, too. Take care!

Hey Ernie!!!!! good to hear from you. I think you'll really like it. Keith makes a very nice unit. I prefer to have my amp about six to eight feet away and it's nice not to have to get up and down to get the amp where you want it. See you in St. Louis and again in Forest Lake.
