I'm really curious, why is it some threads get locked quickly, others not, when the topics and discussion all seem valid & interesting?
If it were in Off-Topic, I wouldn't be a bit surprised, but on technical stuff? What's up with that?

If the originator of a post states that it can be closed then we close them. Otherwise they don't normally get closed, unless the post is moved to a more appropriate section, such as what Jon said about moving computer items to the new computer section.

Thanks! The computer catagory is a great idea, since sooner or later we will all be at the mercy of a rogue machine.
I'm convinced that the best knowledge is that gained from grizzled veterans, so I'm eager to hear your fixes/ideas. |
