Great stuff, Baz! I especially like the Girl from Impanema. I have both of your Waikiki Islanders discs and enjoy them very much!

Thanks Jeff..the 'Waikiki Islanders' are alive and well... playing an odd gig in the UK and we're visiting Hawaii for the month of November..
I know that some of the above tunes are 'Pedal'(Fender-1000 and Emmons D-10 PP) BUT over 50% of the ones I posted are on a Fender Deluxe-8 Stringmaster.

Baz, you have such a great touch on the instrument; I really dig your lush chord melody sound on the Ipenema cut.

Word to the wise ... Baz has some fine CDs available, particularly his Live At The Castaways recordings.

Mahalo for the 'Plug' Andy..... I just recorded these whilst Pat and I were checking out some numbers to play at the Newbury Festival.... I MAY take some of them more seriously, later on, and record them "Properly"...
BTW ANDY the book is "Mighty" and will be reviewed in the next issue of Aloha Dream..(Sample of November mag here) http://www.waikiki-islanders.com/html/order_info.html

Baz, are you going to the Hawaiian music festival in Holland? I think it's happening sometime this week. I wish I could be there. I was in Holland a week ago, but the airlines charge too much for the change fee, so I couldn't change my flight to this week. Bummer. I hear there are 3 stages with non-stop Hawaiian entertainment.

Baz -

It's difficult to pick a favorite with all the great music on each CD! My favorites are All of Me, Body and Soul, Embraceable you, Once in Awhile, Autumn Leaves, Moonglow, San Francisco, and Dream...the classic pop tunes from the "golden age" of popular music. The "Hawaiian" tunes are great, too!

Aloha,

Jeff
