"They've" (whoever "they" are) have been talking about Austin being the next Nashville for as long as I've been here... 34 years.

One thing I'm NOT doing is holding my breath waiting for it to happen. 'Cause it ain't gonna.

I think I remember that Branson was to replace Nashville. Waylon always said the last person leaving Nashville for Branson; turn out the lights. I have been 60 miles north of Austin for 50 yrs and as Herb says it won't happen. CC

Except for very few Nashville artist, I've always liked the western/western swing sound better anyway.
