What a nice way to spend a cold snowy sunday afternoon. Crawling up with a good book, sipping hot coco, turning up the Altec Lansings and listening to this little gal play guitar. Now where did that thread about practicing go????

Astounding. I know people will say she is an exceptional prodigy and a genius. But I firmly believe many kids are capable of that kind of virtuosity if they have an environment that encourages, rewards, and nourishes it. But, hey, it's more important that our kids become accomplished at Playstation and mall shopping. On the other hand, you have to wonder if she will still want to keep doing this when she gets to the late teens and early adulthood. Burnout is a big problem for early prodigies.

25! Doh! They look younger every year. In the immortal words of Emily Latella, "Oh, well, nevermind."
