Hi All,
I recently picked up a Melobar Steel "guitar". I have 2 questions I was hoping I could get answers or recommendations for.
What type or style of strings should I use on this? It's a pretty long neck and was wondering if I could use regular guitar strings or go with a Steel guitar string set?
Also, it has 8 tuners, but is strung for 6. Does anyone know who or where I can get this converted to 8? The nut and bridge are set for 6. I am in Massachsuetts.

Hey Chris,
Sorry for the late reply. I just got DSL and didn't have internet access for several weeks! Anyway, it's called the MEL O BAR GUITAR. I cannot locate the serial # or a specific model. It's got the classic sunburst finish and sort of a gibson explorer guitar type body. Would really love to convert to 8 strings, but want to avoid shipping it out if possible.
