I'm reposting this because I accidentally called the song "Roly Poly" the first time. Wrong (but great) song.

So, anyway, does anyone know where to find a tab for Jerry Byrd's super-tasteful solo on this Hank Williams song?

Thanks in advance.

I doubt you'll find tab for that one, unless someone other than Jerry has tabbed it out. Of the 200+ arrangements he has available, that song isn't in there. I'd like to hear the song if someone has an MP3 to post.

Pee Wee King recorded Rootie Tootie and I believe Roy Ayres played steel on this cut.

I think Redd Stewart wrote this tune.

I also have a recording of "Rootie Tootie" sung by an unknown singer named Harold Jenkins, and an unknown steel guitar player named John Hughey!

Thanks for the replies!

I'll rip the solo into an MP3 file, then see if I can figure out how to post it.

This song is on the big yellow 3-CD Hank box set; it's one of the swingier songs. I'll check the songwriting credit, too.

Am I wrong, or is Harold Jenkins really Conway Twitty? Or does everybody else know that, and I'm being the geek?

Yep, Conway Twitty recorded under his real name, Harold Jenkins, for a brief period.

The mysterious Harold even cut some excellent rockabilly on the Sun label.
