I just saw that there is a VERY nice late 40's to early 50's Gibson Console Grande. It has a very reasonable buy it now. $895.00 I believe.
I would bid, but I don't think it find many friends set up next to all my Fenders.

Thanks CrowBear!
The guitar is located not too far north of me so I can go and pick it up. I'm kind of excited as now I have a blond double neck Console Grande along with this sunburst model. Both 3 legged and from the l940's. Now if I can only get it home without the wife finding out. I was in the doghouse a while ago. She and my daughter went up into my loft and counted 35 guitars. But I fooled them. I still had 2 in the office I hadn't brought home yet. I suffer from an acute case of GAS (guitar acquisition syndrome)! So many guitars, sooooo little time.
CrowBear, take care!

CrowBear,
I'll have to tell you kind of a cute story. I bought a new motorcyle last year. I told my son-in-laws about it and they said: "How are you going to sneak that past Jan?".
I really don't know if she did an accurate count or not. I think some of those 35 were actually amps. I have a bunch of them too. Twin reverb, Nashville 400s, Gibson Goldtone, Marshall acoustic, etc. The list goes on and on and on and on and---------.

Erv, i clearly remember your getting that motorcycle and resolving the matter by taking Jan for a ride on it.
So....you're just gonna have to teach your second half to steel. that'll get you a back up musician and steelin will bring you even closer together.

At some point, she will not remember whether she counted guitars, amps, or guitars AND amps. Then you can easily sneak in 5-6 additional items. Baffle them with BS! |

It's been said that marriage is a wonderful institution but who wants to spend his life in an institution!!!
You know I'm just kidding. My first wife is a wonderful gal (oh no, there I go again). She just kind of lets me do my own thing with the guitar business. We both recently went on vacation. She took a trip to California and I stayed home with my guitars!
Uff-Da! |
