Thank you so much for posting. This guy is the real master of the telecaster. A real good player in Ohio told me about Scotty and I had never seen him play. Herby Wallace can tell some stories of playing with this guy at one of the Ohio shows.
I love Brent Mason, but I have to say this guy would even eat his lunch! ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif) |

Not bad for a couple of white guys. Now if they only had tee shirts, torn jeans, sneakers, and had a name like Hell Hole they could make a million bucks. Seriously, someone please give the background on these two. They are smoke players and I could listen to them all night. [This message was edited by Kevin Hatton on 16 September 2006 at 11:08 AM.] |

It is nice to hear a guitar player that does more than chicken pick or twang. Bob Saxton on any given day might be found at Steel Guitar Nashville shooting the breeze with Bobbe. If you check out the player credits on some of Bobbe's albums, you will find Bob's name. |

These guys are the best I've heard in a long time. Now this is real music. There should be a law, that every body shoould TRY to play like this. I'd never get tired of it.

I talked to John "Thomas" (John Herbert) this morning. John said he gave Scotty his first picking job when he was 16. He was playing in club on the Kentucky side of Cincinatti. He said back then he picked the hell out of it. He said if he gave him a break on a song he would start playing and didn't know when to quit.
John said he thought Scotty's uncle plays steel. |

All Scotty Anderson fans check out this link: www.scottyandersonguitar.com
The quality of his playing on the song on the opening page of his website is beyond my ability to express in words. Scotty seems to be equally effluent in most genres.
Respectfully,
Dave Burr |

One of the best shows I ever saw in my long life was in Macon, Ga. with Scotty on guitar and Bill Hatcher on bass. Scotty is the most versatile guitarist I have ever heard and Bill is the best living bass player today( and that is saying a lot)!

I sent an email to Scotty's folks and got this:
The date is Sat. Oct. 14 in Macon at the Capital Theatre, probably around 7:00. Just show up and you'll get in. Tickets probably $15 or $20. It will be special! Call if you have questions.

What is that on his guitar under the control plate?
Okay, I see it now; it is an American Flag.[This message was edited by Gary Dunn on 21 September 2006 at 07:12 PM.] |

Thanks for the links. I met Scotty when we were kids hanging in Good Ol Boys mosic store in Newport, KY. We would jam and he was a monster then. His dad, Dillard Anderson, was a real monster too on guitar and pedal steel. Don't know what ever happened to him now, I've been away from Cincinnati area for a long time now.
