I just bought a CD off of Ebay with what must be thousands of pages of the best violin tunes on wheels, in Adobe/PDF format - sort of like that 12-fakebook CD we don't know about. It's got "the" violin concertos by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Bruch, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Prokofiev (you'll know which ones I mean if this stuff floats your boat), all of Mozart's, the partitas and sonatas by Bach, Paganini's 24 caprices, and a bunch of other stuff including seven or eight instruction books from different people with scale exercises. They're mostly with piano accompaniment (if you feel the need to practice sight-reading chords too). It sure is one way to break up the monotony - there must be a couple of million notes in here! I got it from this guy, it's apparently all legal: Violin Sheet Music

All this stuff will be enormously valuble for a sight reader,
and also theory perspective.
Not to mention it is topshelf music too.

I wish I had the time these days!

If you can read this stuff,
no one can ever throw you a curve that isn't
a hard core bebop,
or serial tone row, maven.

Thousands of printable pages ... this must be a conspiracy from the sellers of ink cartridges.

I got me a copy heading this way now.
$16 well spent.

Now to make some time for it all.
Learn it on the mandolin,
then move some to the steel.
