According to british Country Music People Magazine, Nashville drummer Eddie Bayers has been named (by Drum Magazine)one of the greatest session drummers of all time, making him the only Music City drummer so honored. Shouldn't Buddy Harman be on such a list......

Congratulations Eddie Bayers!
Well deserved for all his road & session work. Eddie is the staff drummer on the Grand Ole Opry and you should see him play at 3rd & Lindsley sometime.
He's also one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet!

Congratulations Eddie, for "beating out" all the competition!
Here locally, we had a guy named Bill Lusby that put every country drummer I ever worked with to shame. He was like the "Emmons of drums". Nowadays, he's programming director of a radio station.
What a waste. |

If they all played like Eddie, you'd hear more. |

Back in my old Los Angeles days I set in occasionally at an after hours with a great drummer named Archie Francis. I never got to work a gig with him but just getting to play with him a little was great. He had the best country rimshot I'd ever heard and was very versatile. He could (can) play any thing thrown at him as good or better than anyone around........JH in Va.

Tony, is that a rhetorical question? If not, then I believe the answer must be, 'because the thread is about country music drummers (with an s)' not necessarily about one specific drummer .... |

We have, without a doubt, the best lookin' drummer in NashVILE,in the person of Anita Hill. Not only is she a "looker",she's a damn good, solid drummer, harmony singer,& soloist. Can't ask for much more than that!! (well,I COULD,but we won't go there. ) Besides all that, she has EXCELLENT taste in cologne. (she LOVES mine)
