Dale Watson kicks out another great album for REAL COUNTRY MUSIC, IMHO. How many have gotten a copy? What's your take?

Great album, had Dale sign my copy this Friday. Was fortunate that Dale was in Kansas City for a concert. Nothing beats his live shows and what a band of musicians. Some photos from Friday July 7.

I have been doing every thing I can do to promote Dale since I discovered him a couple of years ago.IMO he is the absolute BEST honky tonk singer living today,if there was any justice at all in the socalled music business today he would stay in the top five all the time, but the people that control the industry say he's [TOO COUNTRY FOR COUNTRY]Maybe if he would learn to triwl a mike stand, sing off key[doubt if he could do that]trade his tele for a distored Les Paul,he would gain the superstar status he deserves. But don't think he will ever do that,HOPE NOT.

That's Gene Kurtz on bass and he's playing a Tomkins (Austrialian). Same maker that made Dale's guitar. Gene has been playing that bass for a couple years now.

Dale and his Lone Stars were in Mpls last week. Great show. I think the time off did Dale well. The band was also happy to be back together.

Watson may well wind up being the Ernest Tubb of my generation. ET never had that many big radio hits, Waltz Across Texas only reached 35 on the Charts, but the fact remains ET is one of the most significate names in country music. I was fortunate enough to see Dale Watson and Lonestar at Knuckleheads, in KCMO, December 2005 and again this past Friday 7 July 2006 at Davey's Uptown in KCMO and both shows were outstanding. Watson's music is a fusion of Jennings', Cash's and Haggard' and his willingness to share the stage equally with his band member is a quality few of today's country performers share. Datson is number one in my book.

Kenny, I second that. You have to really respect a man like Dale who lets the whole band shine rather than to upstage them. There was really great communication with smiles between Dale and his Lonestars.

Sorry, I missed you in the crowd Kenny, me and Tom were along the wall at the side of the stage. If I known you were there I would have let Dale know that "Burford" was in the house !
