Hi Folks,
I need some good suggestions for 'Shuffle' records, we are somewhat limited over here and I need to build up a decent collection.
Thanks.

Bobby Flores albumns are all KILLER!!!!
They can be ordered from HTTP:yellowroserecords.com
Also Jake Hooker recordings and a host of other great Texas shuffles are available. Another site HTTP; CDTEX.com. has Johnny Bush, Darryl McCall and lots of other great artists. You can shuffle yourself to death from these two sites. Hope this helps |

I believe The Other Woman is the gold standard of shuffle albums. If you dont have one at all, thats the one to get. |

If your looking for some of the classic stuff, here's a few CDs that should be easy to find at Amazon or CD universe etc.
Three by Buck Owens- Buck Owens, Buck Owens Sings Harlan Howard, On The Bandstand
The Wynn Stewart/Jan Howard CD with some of the Challenge records stuff on it.
Warren Smith - The Call Of The Wild CD.
All of these feature lots of Mooney.
"Honky-tonkitis" is a great shuffle by Carl Butler, as is "The Outsider" by Bill Phillips. Bob Gallion put out lots of good shuffles on the Hickory label like "One Way Street" and "Small Town Girl". Bobby Barnett, Bobby Griggs, Eddie Drake, Jack Tucker, Roy Counts, Eddie Noack, Bobby Austin, Marvin McCullough, Red Zellner, J and J Mosby, Dick Miller, Bonnie Owens, Melba Montgomery, Buddy Cagle, Skeets McDonald, Smiley Monroe, etc, etc. Lots of great shuffles were cut in the 50's and 60's.

Hi Chippy
The Taylor & Dean 'Honky Tonk Shuffles' is a recent CD and about as good as it gets for shuffles. From memory, the steel player is Jnr Knight. I have it on in car all the time.
