Seems like Mel Tillis was helping him back in the day. He had a couple of releases but none really went anywhere. "You're in Live With The Wrong Man" may have been his biggest chart success. He had another single called "Last Exit For Love" kinda a traveling man's song...great voice.

Mundo Earwood performed a lot around my stopming grounds, the Houston area, in the early eighties, but I was living in out of state from 82-86 so I don't know much about him. Here's some info I dug up:

quote:
Mundo is known for such songs as " Behind Blue Eyes", "You're In Love With the Wrong Man", and "Anglien".
Mundo Earwood had twenty three entries in Billboard's Country Singes charts between 1972 and 1989.

Back in the day, a band I worked with would do "You're In Love With the Wrong Man" when someone requested a song for an anniversary or engagement...Then we'd do something a little more appropriate! Loved that song though!

"You're In Love With The Wrong Man" is still on our set list. Fills the dance floor. Jody.

I've worked with him a time or two in the past five years. He's still in the Houston area, but not that active anymore.

We used to play "You're In Love With The Wrong Man" back when it first came out. He also had a great shuffle version of the Beatles' "All My Loving".

Mundo...a name from the past. He showed up and sat in at a gig in Corpus 2 or 3 years ago, still sang great. The very first time I played after moving to So Tx area (Corpus Christ) was with Mundo...around 1968 or 69. Man we were just kids then.
