This morning on KWKZ 106.1fm I heard two cuts off the C.D "why I sing like this" and thought, it's time for another C D from this great Country singer, Any body heard of anything new from him?
Just wondering

His CD is one of the best I have heard in many years. I absolutely love every cut. The way he sings "Old Violin" with Rhonda Vincent oughta get some kind of award. That is the best of the best.

Why d'ya think I spell it "NashVILE"? You can hear some real good REAL Country down on "lowest" Broadway. You just can't hear any REAL Country on any records comin' outta here anymore! (Well, very few.)

Daryle is touring with Pete Schlegel and Jeff Carson. I know this because I'm his steel guitarist! He has a new album in the works. I don't know all the details with his label. He has some really great music. LOT'S of steel guitar. It's all over his music. Very challenging for me and the rest of the band. He's on the mend right now. He broke 2 ribs and an elbow during a collision in a baseball game for MADD a week ago monday. We did a show sunday in Muncie, Ind. with Billy Dean, broken ribs and all. He did great even with all the pain. Real pro!!! Come see a show when we hit your area.

Man what a gig that must be. I am sick with jealousy. Playing steel with Daryle Singletary. That is about as close to country music heaven as I can imagine.

Thanks guys. Your absolutely right!! It is a dream gig. Pete has some really great steel work on his albums too!! HI Rick, I remember that Columbus thing. In fact I see Karl Kidwell (piano) all the time. He's playing for a friend of mine, Johnnie Branham, that was there in Columbus with me. I don't have much chance to help them out anymore but we get together and jam every blue moon or two. Catch you down the road. Whip

Nothing in Missouri or Kansas so far. Dates are being added all the time though. Check it out at TruSouth.com and go to schedule. It is usually updated within a couple of days of the contracts.
