Can anyone recommend some of these? I am mainly interested in western swing & honky tonk ala Boggs, Helm etc.

I am currently using a C6 tuning.

Cindy Cashdollar has two excellent videos on Western Swing that include some Helms-style playing. www.homespuntapes.com

Herb Remington has a couple of tapes for the A6th tuning as well as a new series of tab. A6th is easily transferable to C6th. http://www.remingtonsteelguitars.com/video.html

Bobbe Seymour at Steel Guitar Nashville has two new tapes for C6th non-pedal that have some excellent ideas not found elsewhere.

High to low:
Cindy uses: GECAGECA
Herb uses: EC#AF#EC#AF#
(equivalent to Cindy's C6th, just tuned down to the key of A)
Bobbe uses: ECAGECAF

Dewitt Scott has Don Helms tab/tape book with alot of great songs in it. I went thru Jerry Byrds instructional course first. Little Roy Wiggins has a great book out that is simple playing, but the phrasing and feel is one of my favorites now for that laid back early country sound. If you have C6/A7 and E6 on 2 different steels, you can cover alot of ground the way they were originally recorded. I haven't found a particular book that just concentrates of Western Swing yet, or a book for Leons E13 tuning.
