I just finished reading my new copy of this enjoyable (Centerstream Publications) book-Thanks to Andy for including much info on Bigsby steels and those who played them And also thanks for mentioning "yours truly" I also recommend several other "must have" books by Centerstream of particular interest to steel players-Check out "National Resonator Instruments" by Bob Brozman,"Rickenbacker" by Richard Smith, and "The Hawaiiian Steel Guitar and its Great Hawaiian Musicians" by Lorene Ruymar-H.G.S.A. |

Well I just wanted to put up a post to thank Andy for his great book.
I got it a few weeks ago. Great job, lots of information very new to me, lots of insight on the instrument.
One advice : read it while listening to the legends of the incredible steel guitar CD. It'll take take to outer space with no danger to your health !
Keep on picking

Let me jump in here by adding that a comprehensive book on lap steel guitar was LONG over due! The tuning info, history, interviews, and photographs make it well worth the price. An obvious labor of love on Andy's part. Fantastic job Andy. Keep 'em coming!

Gotta chime in. Andy, your book is wonderful. I've been reading a little bit at a time for weeks now, resisting the urge to read it all in one go. Great job! |
