The triple neck rickenbackers seem to be pretty pricey when they appear. although it seems most people have the Stringmaster by Fender. Are the three neck Ricks expensive because they are a rare bird, or is it because they are just as desirable as the Fender triple necks for playing. Some people have stated their love for double six and eight Ricks but I don't see many comments about the three necker although I see quite a few in old pictures of western swing bands of the fifties

IMHO the Rick triples sound fine but their cabinets were among the most bulky and unweildy to lug around, a lot of wasted space. The Stringmasters were compact and had efficient use of space.
