I have been in the process of selling all my record collection but saved one very old 78
because I thought Riley Puckett was from Jackson, MS. However, that does not seem to be the case. This old 78 probably dates from the 1940s and is a Columbia record. Does anyone know who this was? Thanks. Bill

Thanks Lem, that answers my question. I grew up in Pontotoc so not far from you.

That's cool, Bill. If you're ever back up around this part of the state, maybe we can have a cup of coffee and talk a little shop about the steel guitar.

There's another gentleman from around Pontotoc, who is a FANTASTIC steel guitarist. His name is Dale Stacy, and he's posted a time or two on the Forum as well. Don't know if you happen to know him or not, but if you ever get the chance to hear him, he's not to be missed! A very nice guy and super talent.

Lem, I am happy to say that I do know Dale -
great person and great picker. When I got my first pedal steel I carried it to his home for some pointers. Hope we meet.

Ryan, This is an old 78. On one side "I'm Drifting Back to Dreamland," and on the other
"My Carolina Home," with Bob Nichols. The record is cracked and I feel sure will not play. If you want it just cover the postage and I will give it to you. Bill
