Wife broght home tape with this song on it, with Gretchin Wilson, and Merle Haggard.

Any one know who the steeler is on this song? The steel ride really caught my attention. Thanks

Larry

Paul Franklin, Russ Pahl and Mike Johnson shared duties on pedal and lap steel on the CD that features Politically Uncorrect.

Larry, I found only a little segment of the song on the Net, so I didn't hear the steel break you're talking about.
Hang in there and do your best.

Yup, I thought about that, but I didn't want to look like some sort of grammar freak today, so I decided to overlook it.

Thought some would find this interesting: From an interview in a Kentucky Newspaper;

Politically Uncorrect is the Grammy-nominated duet with country legend Merle Haggard that has become one of All Jacked Up's most critically lauded tracks. But it's also a curiosity. Although Haggard sings on the record and is featured in the music video, Wilson has never met him. The artists worked in different studios.
"Every time I hear his voice coming in on that song, I get goose bumps," Wilson said. "I still can't believe Merle Haggard is on my record. But I still haven't met him face to face. I've talked with him a lot on the phone, especially in the last few weeks, when we've been editing the video. It's strange to work with somebody without having ever met them. But hopefully, one of these days, I'll talk him into coming out to a show and perhaps jumping onstage to sing the song with me."

Larry,

It's not too difficult. I can show you how I play it if you watch Regis & Kelly Wednesday morning. Uh, that is if the camera man is at the right place at the right time.

Gaylon,, if I thought that camera man would get a good shot of you I'd call in sick that day so I could stay home and watch!! Thanks for thinking about me.

Theresa,

You've got the inside track... so who is the steel player on that cut?

I know I'm a bit behind the times but, avoiding country radio stations as I tend to do, I've only just heard this track.

The playing is terrific, and I wonder if anyone can tell me who's on it? The singing is top-notch, too - it's a well-produced record. I'm not too taken with the general sentiment, but I enjoyed the musicianship.
