Ooh, wait - it's only a HALF-stack. Still, for only $25,000, how can you go wrong?

Wow, a $25,000 amp. I guess it was just a matter of time before this started. I've seen old tweeds go for big bucks, but not like this. Good luck to him, I'm sure there is a collector that will jump on it. It will probably end up in Japan, just like all the other good stuff.

Not that it matters, but I have NEVER heard the terms Marshall and Grand Funk associated with each other.

It will be interesting to see what this goes for. If it goes at all.

...there are 15 ebayers a day emailing offers for $50 and $100. Those of you who do that are not being funny or original, you're just being idiots.

...so does anyone else feels like being an idiot??

The seller clearly doesn't expect to get that for it, as he is accepting offers. It would not surprise me to see it get a good percentage of that much though, as these amps are getting into the "goodgodamighty" price range quickly. I saw a purple reissue go for 4K not long ago, and the vintage plexi's get pretty chunky money. This one in the condition it is in and with the provenance it has should be a high seller.

By the way I feel the same as most about the prices being stupid, but I feel the same way about vintage guitars- no plank of wood with strings is worth as much as a house or car. None.

Keith I agree, some of these prices just don't make sense to me.About 20 years ago a guy in this area brought an original Broadcaster in the club for me to see,I had just bought a new T-60.Playing wise the tele was not even close to the T-60.But value wise is a different story. But I don't care if some people buy and pay big bucks for these vintage instruments ,if that's their thing and can afford them. But it's JUST an OLD guitar.

P.S.Each time I'm on broadway in Nashville I go by E,T,'s record shop and gawk at Petes ShoBud[I guess it's still there]And YES I wished I owned it.But if I did I would sell it,buy a NEW GFI d-10,and put the rest of the money in my pocket.
