I have heard many conflicting stories on the type of wood used to make the Fender Double 8 Professional. According to John Tipka (HSGA) white oak is known for the Fender Stringmaster sound. Where both the Stringmaster and the Professional made of White Oak?
Here are the most mentioned woods (1) White Oak (2) Walnut (3) Swamp Ash.

Just curious

My T8 stringmaster is swamp ash. Each neck is its own piece of wood.

My D8 Pro with trapezoid pickups is walnut, all one beautiful piece.

(that's my story and I'm stickin' to it)

It depends on what years your asking about with the Stringmasters and Customs.

The last Fender dual pro I worked on was made of one big slab of mahogany, but I'm not sure if it was Honduras or another type of mahogany,
