I saw these guys for the first time last night in Indy. They put on a great show. I recommend their new CD "Tangled in the Pines" which we bought there. I personally like it better than any other that I've heard but I only recently began listening to 'em.

The show was mostly country-flavored rockabilly. The steel was a fairly small component of the show but Don did great solos on fiddle and electric mandolin.

After the show, I had the pleasure of talking to Don & he invited me up to look at his double neck lap steel. We discussed his setup, tuning, effects etc. He was just the nicest guy.

All this for $5 cover & ladies free. Ain't America great!!

I had the pleasure of seeing these guys in Philly back in the summer. They put on a really great show. Don does a great job on steel and fiddle, and it is a treat to see him change from one to another from verse to verse. These guys are all great musicians and entertainers.

Haven't seen 'em yet, but they are one of the VERY few bands that I absolutely have to see. Brian Setzer was another.
Hellecasters someday...
