Interesting. Another question: how would you extend to 8 strings, moving away, as you did from C6? Keep the original pitches for m7 on bottom and dom7 on top?

C6 Low to High: A C E G A C E G
Bm11 Low to High: A B D F# A C# E G

Scott, I am going to give your tuning a try, heres one I have been messing around with, have no idea what it would be called.
from high to low Eb, B, G#, E, D, B. Its B6th on the top & just E7 on the bottom, sure is fun to mess around with though. Kind of like having 6th tuning with that 7th note in the bottom.
I guess I should stick with my pedal steel, but thats just too easy!!

Ernie; Actually, if you would change that Eb to D# on the first string, I would call it an E Maj.7 on the first (4) strings and an E7 on the lower (5) strs. [E Maj.7/E7]

Scott;
If you don't mind standing on your head, you might look at it this way:
(G-M7=B,D,F#)+(9=A)+(#11=C#)+(13=E)
Gee! I'm dizzy too!
