www.westernswing.com has a postcard gallery showing bands of old, in particular, The Miller Bros. Band, and, Dave Stogner and His Western Rhythmaires. Stogner has a lady steeler on a Fender, and Miller, a guy on a huge steel. Both from the 50s. Any idea who these players are, and if so, what they are up to now?

Right on Michael! Thanx for lending your knowledge here, very glad to have you aboard the SGF. I didn't think I'd even get a nibble on this one, but I'm not surprised you came thru with some info. Hope you have better luck with your computer.

Very cool. I'll have to dig out my Rick book to check out those pix. Richard was kind enuf to autograph/notate a copy when it came out, and sent it to me gratis, great guy. He always had something interesting to say about Leo Fender, as he was Leo's house constantly while putting things together for his then upcoming book on Fender's history. Thanx again for your help on this Michael, I'll get back to you later.

Great sleuth work Michael! You're a real asset for those of us here that gotta know these things. There are so many fine players of the past that need to be remembered. Now, to find out more about Wanda! I'll dredge up some old/similar posts that didn't get solved, and see if you can knock them out too. Thanx!
