The TEAC GF-350 Turntable CD-Recorder

This item looks like it does it all. AM FM vinyl, CD, and most importantly, recording from vinyl to CD.

Anybody have experience with it?

Thanks, Chris

I have a Phillips CDR 765 and absolutely love it!!!! It is easy to handle and the results are great!

It is hooked up to my stereo system permanently, has two CD decks, one for playback, one for playback/recording.

You can:

1) easily copy/dub CDs (also high speed dubbing!)
2) record different tracks from different CDs on a new CD
3) copy vinyl to CD
4) copy cassette tapes to CD
5) burn material from other external sources on CD (my recorded minidisc material from steel shows for example)

I have my CD recorder since 1999 and it is really worn out by now, have to replace it soon (the laser in the playback deck doesn't read well).

The price is app. $400 to $500 - for me it was worth every dime!

Kind Regards, Walter

I've been having great results with the Tascam CC-222. It has a wide variety of inputs and works very much like a tape deck once you get used to it. I run a little mixer into it for live recordings in my living room, and it does a great job of recording LPs and tapes to CD.

It is expensive, though, and I have to connect my own turntable.

Thanks, Walter. I'll look up the Phillips. The TEAC's price is right at $400, also.

b0b, the attraction of the TEAC is that one unit does it . . .

Thanks for your replies, guys.
