I hope this is the right place for this post!!..
anyway, I have noticed GC has INUNDATED ebay with thousands of guitars and amps of every price and description.. Most of the vintage stuff is WAY above market and I have YET to see even ONE bid on ANYTHING,old or new... Has anyone else noticed this???.. They are ALL OVER ebay all of a sudden.. Matbe they have cash flow problems??.. If they really need to move this stuff, it needs to be priced closer to what the market will bear I would think.. I only posted this because of the flood of stuff on ebay by GC.. NEVER saw this before. bob

You bet.... There's one National Dynamic they've been 'offering' 8-10 times now, starting at a ridiculous $1795, plus plenty of other totally overpriced instruments.
I sure hope no innocent newbie bites.....

I've seen some of the "vintage" amps at the local Guitar Center in Tampa, Fl and they want outrageous prices for them. Last time I was there, the same amps that have been there for a long time were still there - obviously their overpricing is the reason they are still there.

Price 'em too high, don't sell 'em, take a huge tax break---business 101!
Moral? Stay away from 'em!

Just a funny little thought about Guitar Center.

When I was (just/only/nothing more than) a standard guitar player, I used to have a real problem in GC.

I always wanted this axe or that one. Now that I play steel I can go in there and not even be tempted by anything (except the cutie checking your receipts)!

Playing steel is the 12-step program for a standard guitar addiction it seems...
