Is there a program out there that will easily transpose the key for me? Let's say the sheet music is in G, but I want the first chord to be E or something...is there an easy (lazy man who's not that great with music theory) way to have a program transpose all the chords of the song accordingly if I plug in a different starting chords?
Thanks! |

Here's a site I use if I find a song online. Just cut and paste, it works very well. http://logue.net/xp/

That's cool, Jim. I especially like the part where you click on a guitar chord symbol and it rotates through alternate ways to play the chord. Nice feature! |

Why not use the number system, then its easy to transpose.
I'm not the swiftest one with numbers but I've got to the point I use them almost exclusively and it has made it much easier, at least for me. |

It's really worth the effort to learn to do it in your head.
You can't take your computer to a gig.
