My band used to do it with chords something like this. I don't remember what key it was so here's an approximate number chart.
Waltz (3/4) time...Half a Man
1 5 1 1
1 1dim 2m 5
4 4dim 1 1
2 2 5 5aug
1 5 1 1
1 3 4 4
4 4dim 1 6m
1 5 1 1
This might work for you and maybe not. I don't have a guitar with me at the moment to check on what I'm posting...JH

I agree with Herb; Willie's signature sound is the 4# passing tone to tonic, with a 5 in the bass. |
