I just purchased what was claimed to be a 1970 model Hummingbird for my wife- There is a faint serial number under the finish on the back of the key head and no number on the inside paper sticker --I was wondering-- is there a way to verify the year of manufacture ?? Thanks, Bill Myrick

Believe it or not--I kind of posted it that way on purpose--figured I get a quick response *LOL* anyway--Thanks Jon---sure 'nuff it turns out to be a late 1970 issue -- a man in a music store in Springfield, Mo. offered to trade a brand new one to her for it--she respectfully (sort of) declined

Boy. Now there's a site that has some information..

My rich kid neighbor got a 67 HB, that was the envy of our block. Neck was a little to narrow for me. I liked my Garcia.

Think I'll call him up and see if he still has it..

Never dated a Hummingbird, but the ex-wife turned into an old crow.
