What ever happened to 'ol Pake? I think he was Reba's younger (or older) brother and had a couple of records that did pretty well in the late 80's I believe. He had a pretty good voice and his recordings were good too although I can't remember what they were. Thanks in advance....JH

This was covered once before but it appears the forum search only goes back 2 yrs. I have his first album (an EP), which features Buddy Emmons, and it is pretty good. I think he had a great tenor voice but lacked stage presense. Someone here said he quit the music business long ago and has been involved in ranching and rodeo.
His breakthrough song was Savin' My Love |

I worked for him in late '85/ early '86. Pake has always been around rodeo, primarily as a steer roper. At one time he tried Branson with his daughters.....I don't know how that worked.
My understanding is that he's in the insurance business and according to brother Brown from Sherman, is still doing an occasional club date in southern Oklahoma/northern Texas. |
