Jim,
I may be only speaking for myself, but I have a problem with sites that want to know about me just to visit....I don't like "signing up" to listen to a song-I get enough spam and unsolicited email as it is and just the fact that as soon as I got to the page pop ups started popping up wanting me to buy stuff. As soon as I signed up my email address would be free game for more and more garbage. So I haven't signed up....
If you email me the mp3's (I want to hear the other one also) I will gladly post them in my storage area and provide a link so all can hear without having to "join the family"
I have provided free space to others on the forum for this very thing.

Unfortunately for me, Jim, I have a slow dialup connection....so it's not an option...my connection will not handle streaming audio...even lo-fi

I clicked on hi-fi as well with no problem. Sounds like country shuffle to me. My kind of music. I'd do the two step if I could figure how to unbuckle this seat belt on my computer chair.  |

I'd call it a country shuffle. You hear a lot of this style at steel shows.
I just clicked on "hi-fi" and it played in iTunes on my Mac. It could use some pedal steel, IMHO.

Your right b0b, it could use some steel. If I woulda been smarter a couple years ago I woulda kept the New Sierra I had and there woulda been some steel on it. No apoligy needed Jay, I have a super slow connection too. I'm so far out in the country they pump the Sunshine in and the Moonshine out. The internet is s l o w..... David Wright has the 1st version without the fills on CD, We could post that for the folks around here to practice with.

"Tonight's the night" is definitely a Country Shuffle! I just noticed that you did all the parts, Jim? I'm assuming that you did all the background vocals too? Great job!!

| I'd call it a kinda generic country-shuffle with an '80s sound. To me, the first part is very reminiscent of Haggard's "Let's Chase Each Other 'Round the Room Tonight". |

A cross between the Hag, and Larry,Steve, and Rudy. Even without a steel line, I still like it. a nice med. shuffle and one ya sure can two step with. Nice Work

Yup Bob I played and sang it all myself. Recorded it right here on this very computer. Now that Danny and b0b mentioned it, it does have that Hag feel to it. I wore out my CD of "The Derailers - Reverb Deluxe" that has “I don’t Believe I’ll Fall In Love Today” on it. I was going after a 60’s sound actually. I know what happened, I spent a couple of days in Austin last year and it had a profound effect on me as a musician. I jammed with some fellas at the Cotton Club and Steakhouse in Granger TX, and that’s just about all we played, two steps. I was surrounded by some of the best players on and off the road today and didn’t even know it. Then I sat in awe at the Continental Club on South Congress 6 feet from the stage and heard more shuffles. I guess you can say one day in Texas can change your life. Thanks Don for the Email.
