I have always enjoyed that connection--two of my all-time favorite people. I'd bet that while Muskogee might have gotten Reagan's attention he was probably an even bigger fan of some of Merle's other political hits, like "The Fightin' Side of Me", "Big City", "Jesus Take A Hold", "Me and Crippled Soldiers" and "I Wonder If They Ever Think of Me".
