Last weeks airing of "Mountain Stage" on the local PBS station featured Robert Cray and he was good, but what really got my attention was the guy on the organ. Fabulous B3 stuff on a tune called "The One In The Middle" that brought the house down. I'm curious to know who he is, if he is a part of Cray's band or if he has any recordings otherwise. Anybody know?
As an aside, although I have forever loved the sound, I only within the last 15 or so years have delved deeper into the world of the jazz organ and it's players, and conclude that if I had learned about it earlier in life and/or had more time to devote to it, I might have been as goofy for the Hammond Organ as I am for the pedal steel.

Used to be SF bay area product Jimmy Pugh on the B3. I'm not sure if he remains in Cray's band.
Try google?

Thanks Peter, you are correct. I recieved a very nice private email from someone connected to the band about Jim Pugh and the Robert Cray Band.
Seems Mr. Pugh also produced last year's Cray Band album also.
I was just knocked out by his organ solo and wanted to find out more about him.
