For those with a current edition of Relix magazine (April/May 2004, vol. 31, #2), there's a picture of this stunning new axe on page 40

Keep on pickin'!

I think this one is still being made in the US. Martin is or has moved the production of it's small travel guitars and ukuleles to Mexico.
It doesn't look like this guitar is made of wood, it's all composite materials.

It looks almost as bad as the painted cowboy guitar they had out a few years ago.

I think those are steel strings, but it would be kind of funny if it had "cat gut" strings on it.

I know a lady guitar player named Nancy Felixson. I'll have to tell her about this.

Hey Alvin,

The picture you posted? Dat' be da' one!

The link I posted describes the materials used on this beauty. The only wood parts mentioned are Sitka spruce bracings. And yes this is a travel guitar. The MSRP I saw is about $549.

BTW: CF Martin makes some limited addition guitars in the $40K to $50K range. So, I guess 5 "little ones" ain't too, too bad for a travel axe.

Keep on pickin'!
Glenn
