Topic: Good BIAB files??? |

Has anybody been able to create and/or run across any BIAB files that really sound like a traditional country track.
I bought the latest version (2004) back in January and have yet to make a track that sounds satisfactory for backup.
Maybe I just haven't got the nack for this software... |

I have had BAIB for quite awhile but I haven't had much time to mess with it. I thought that the only styles were in the list
from the drop down menu you get from clicking on "styles"( right next to edit at the top of the window ). By opening the files that Scott and Jay posted I found that by hitting keys ctrl F9 there is a long list of various styles. Thanks! I need to go through the tutorials, but I wonder, can you modify the drum beats and add and delete things from the basic styles that they give you? I really appreciate any input. |

I have a lot of files for BIAB and I try to keep them simple. the styles I have modified have to much fluff in them. I don't use the guitar as I have yet to find guitar sounds i like and if I do I use the acoustic bass sound instead of the acoustic guitar.(sounds too midi ish) I mainly use drums bass and piano. I also transfer them one instrument at a time to a multi track program, I use cool edit pro. that way i can EQ, compress or add verbs and delays independantly. I will soon have a couple of cd's out using this technique. i'm pretty happy with it. Just my thoughts

| George, thanks for the link to your webpage. The BIAB links look like they are just what the doctor ordered. This thread has inspired me to find the time it takes to get familiar with BIAB. Is it possible to import styles that other people have written, and if so, does anybody have a basic style they have written that has a good shuffle, hopefully written with just drums, bass and piano. C_SWING.STY is pretty good, but it's a little busier than what I like out of a good C&W rhythm section. Thanks again for the input. Guys, Jim Baron, is THE MAN, when it comes to BIAB. He lives down the road from me, and his set up is awesome, he's got more tunes than you could immagine. If you don't get a responce from him immediately it's probably because he's on the road back from Dallas.

Thanks to all that have responded and also sent several songs to me. I was not aware that the quality could be so good and am convinced that much of the trick lies with the style files.
It has also given me the push to continue with BIAB.
