Do any of y'all with publishing experience know the proper convention for writing 'wave'? (pertaining to a PCM-wav file?) As in '.wav' or 'wave' or 'Wave' or 'Wave format'.
Thanks for any tips.

Most all I've ever seen is...
.wav file
or just
.wav |

That's what I have mostly seen, Donny, but everything on the MS websites refer to Wave. Thanks,

I think all of the above are fine. It seems easiest to just call it a ".wav". I probably would say "Wave file" rather than just "Wave" in order to avoid confusion with the physical entity of a wave, but I'm one who gets confused easily. (I never figure out how, but every time I do the Sunday comics kiddie maze, I always wind up back at the beginning. Shucks. ) |
