I'll simply relay this E-Mail I just recieved. -MJ-

Western Music Lovers,
This morning at 3 am, Wesley Tuttle passed away. As some of you may know

his health had been fading due to Alzheimer's. He had lived at home
until just a very short time ago when it became necessary for him to
enter a nursing home.

Viewing is Saturday 1-5 at Eternal Valley, 23287 N Sierra Hwy, Newhall,
CA 91321. Memorial Service is Sunday at 2 pm at their church - First
Church of Christ, 606 Chatsworth Dr, San Fernando, CA 91340. It is to be

a celebration of his life, his faith, and all about music.

Marilyn Tuttle's address is: 623 Orange Grove Ave, San Fernando, CA
91340. She may not immediately read any e-mail you send her since I
understand she has not checked it in several weeks, but I will be happy
to print any out and give to her if you would rather send your thoughts
and prayers via the internet.

This is a time of sadness only for those of us who will miss the
wonderful person -Wes- and his incredible music, but more important it
is a time of rejoicing for Wes whose deep faith has carried him through
his life and the lives of so many.

Thank you Michael for the very sad news about Wesley Tuttle. Way back I bought his 78rpm records. starting over 20 years ago I would talk to Wesley and Marilyn on the phone. Then finally met in 1998 at the Roy Rogers Museum. Wonderful people both with great singing voices. Wesley had With Tears in My Eyes 1945 number 1 for 4 weeks/Detour 1946 number 3 for 4 weeks/always worked from California/appeared as guest on Red Foley portion of Gand Ole Opry. Bear Family recently issued a boxset of Wesley Tuttle.
Thank you Wes Tuttle for some great singing through the years. Al Johnson

Thanks for posting this. We have lost another Legand in the music business. I first met Wes & Marilyn in 1961 at thier store in CA, however, Marilyn and I had been friends for a few years before that as we have the same "maiden name" (Marilyn Myers)and my Aunt was a neighbor of thiers. They were an inspiration to me and always encouraging me to play the country & gospel music. I truly looked up to them a lot. I last spoke with them on the phone about 3 years ago. Please tell Marilyn that my thoughts and prayers are with her. Thanks!
