Her first CD was due out in March. I recently read on some online music reporting site that it's been indefinitely delayed. That's a dawgone shame, because the music is really good. I've listened to the snippets of all her tracks on her site www.daisydern.com and I like every one of them. Really nice neo-traditional country akin to Vince Gill or Lee Ann Womack. I hope that CD doesn't get stuck in never never land and get cancelled.

Well, I found her. I sent an email to her web domain (I just guessed at the ID) and she wrote back. Her website is in the process of being updated, but you can buy the CD there now. I did, and it's a very nice piece of work. Really. Great voice, and a nice selection of songs. And there's steel! She had been on Mercury Records but they had a cutback a year or so ago, just about the time her CD was to be released. I think they made a big mistake in letting her go. Her address is around Nashville now (she was a CA girl), so maybe better days are ahead.

So I'll put in a plug for Daisy. Check out her site, it has clips from every song on the CD:
