I have a chart Noel made up for me years ago.

He has more tunings than I have hair on my head. I couldnt begin to list them here.but his basic was A6th.

Agh, come on Jody, This should qualify as fodder for a "long" J.C. story.

I agree with Bill...

I'm like Pavlov's dogs...salivating for more info!

P.S. - Any truth to the rumor I heard that Noel used more of a "bass" tuning on one of the necks...with a lot of heavier gauge strings?

I worked up "Steelin' Home" from the record on A6th. Everything sounded right.

Some of Noel Boggs' trademark sound came from his use of 11th chords. For example on A6th against a dominant G chord, he would use all of the notes at the 8th fret (D F A C). Most people would avoid the C note because it's not in the G9th chord, but Noel knew just where to place it in a phrase so that it worked.
