Cool tone bar on E-bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2567147771&category=20831
Tilt the bar to the left and it will slightly push down a string and bar it 1/2 step lower than the rest of the strings for a minor chord. Sweet. It's alot like the Sonny Landreth idea we discussed in an earlier thread.

Cool idea, definitely something I've never seen before. Could be tough to use "on the fly." Wonder how much he's gonna get for it, and if the buyer is gonna use it. I'd love to hear a report on that thing.

You have to buy the optional artificial hand with swival joint (pat. pend.) for that.

Interestingly,

During the 40's, there were a number of inovative bars created similar to this one. I remember one that was advertised a lot in magazines in those days where a notch was cut in one side of a round bar.

By rolling the bar slightly one way or another, the player could get a minor chord. This and most other devices never really caught on because no provision was made for the difference in fret spacing as one went up the neck.

This is the only one I have ever seen where the inventor thought about this and made provision for it. Still I wonder how many would take the time to master it. It appears it would take a great deal of tenacity to stay with it long enough to render it something other than to add weight to a players arsenal.
