Which reminds me, has anyone listened to their new album and have any comments?

I listened to a couple of mp3s available at the POCO website, so I can't say how the album sounds overall. But what I listened to sounded like the later POCO efforts, which to my ears had lost their edge to a more slick, Eagles-like production style. What I heard would fit nicely into an easy-listening type radio format. I'd guess that there are probably a couple of good tunes, with Rusty layin' down some nice steel, with the rest being glossy pop-style tunes. Hope I'm wrong. There were a couple other tunes at their website that I didn't listen to. They were very slow to load. I don't want to drone on about the good 'ol days...but they were one heck of a band when Richie, Jim and the crew were all there. |

I too , being a forever POCO fan, listened to the MP3's on the website. Well, they are pretty good, but in my opinion not the same as previous POCO offerings. I really like Rusty and George and wish them continued success. For my tastes the spark of Poco without Richie and Jimmy is way to hard to
ignite.
I probably will buy the CD out of respect and support for the guys.

Tony,
I also liked Richie's contributions to the band. But I think the guys did just fine without him!
Cantamos, Under the Gun, Head-Over Heels, Poco Seven, Ghost Town, Indian Summer, Blue & Grey and Inamorata all have a least one "great "classic song on them (usually more than one!).
They're playing in NJ this Thursday (about an hour and a half from where I live). So I'm thinking about making the trek right after work.
Glad to read there's still some fans around...
