Mike
I agree with your comments regarding Music Man guitars etc.
I will happily reply to you via e mail.
Circumstances regarding Leo's departure is a
sensitive subject that although I would like to explain I am not in a position to do as you requested. I would be walking a fine line to make this an open discussion.
Perhaps with legal assistance I will be able to touch on this in my book. But at present have no intentions of doing so.
I am looking forward to telling of the fun times, the good times during my years at Fender both Pre CBS as well as the coming of the corporate structure.
I will not dwell on the other issues as they
are not something I would feel would be beneficial to my stories of memories of a better time of my life.
I can only interject that leaving Fender to join MusicMan changed my life and I have never recovered since that time. I will be trying to make you smile and laugh at my memories when my book is finally ready to be
published.
I think those days were of more importance to my memories than that of my last years in
the music business. When Leo Fender passed away,I found it difficult to continue in the manner I was accustomed to.
I wished I could say more, but I dont want to hurt anyone because I have many friends in the music business who respect me and I prefer to leave it at that. I dont want to lose the respect people have for me.
E mail me anytime,,,always good to hear from you.
Thank You. G&L is the last thing Leo was involved in and I think they are just as Leo would have wanted.
Jody.. I still have a Sabre guitar pre amp assembly new in the box and that is the memories I have left of that time of my life.
